Pacifica Beauty Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Pacifica Beauty for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

I recently received a surprise box in the mail from a wonderful company called Pacifica Beauty. I've tried their eye shadow palette in the past and I loved it so I was excited to get to try their lipstick and their mascara as well. In my box I received their Devocean Natural lipstick in the color Beach Goth (it is a light purple color); Retail $10, a Dream big lash extending 7 in 1 mascara; Retail $16 and the power of love eye shadow palette; Retail $20 which has ten different colors.

I was slightly bummed out because the lipstick was a bit melted upon arrival so it made a bit of a mess inside of the lid but I was able to get it cleaned up and firm again after placing it in the freezer. The lipstick smells amazing it has a smell that is a mixture between coconut and a floral scent, I enjoy putting it on my lips just so that I can smell it. The texture is nice, it isn't too thick or too thin it glides on like silk and sits well, the color is lovely it is a very light purple/light pink shade and lasts most of the day.

See the two photos above that show one short fat mascara wand and another that is slightly longer and looks thinner? It is the exact same brush in both pictures! The dream big mascara wand has a retractable mascara wand so you can build the mascara for a fuller mascara look or you can choose to use just one step if you prefer; I like using it on the longer setting. The mascara builds up well and goes on smoothly, I like the formula they used and I absolutely love the packaging. It was long lasting and was easy to wash off when I got into the shower, I am pretty happy with this mascara.

Last but not least is the power of love eye shadow palette, I did not use the palette that came in my surprise box because I already own one so I saved this one to put into a small giveaway for one lucky reader. Their eye shadows are coconut-infused mineral eye shadows that feel quite soft on your skin and the colors blend together well if you are going for a smokey eye look. I find that you need at least two layers of each color in order to be able to see them on your eyes or one if you use a eye shadow base before applying the shadow. The packaging is cute and over all light weight, it is good for taking with on your travels or simply keeping with the rest of your makeup.

Prize Alert:
One lucky reader is going to win a Pacifica Beauty power of love eye shadow palette, a pair of hypoallergenic earrings, a eye shadow by Sweet Libertine called Fiasco and a black eyeliner by Rimmel London.

Hair Care Goodie box Giveaway!

Summer is drawing to an end and fall is on it's way, which I am pretty excited about because it means cooler weather. During the summer I swim a lot and because of that my hair goes through more damage than it does during the winter because I wash it more to wash out the chlorine. I also straighten my hair a lot because I have a mixture between curly and wavy hair and it can get quite frizzy so I try to keep it under control but it can lead to dry hair.

I know there are many others who have hair issues as well from dyeing your hair, and more so I've put together a giveaway packed with various hair care products and a balancing facial toner to help you look your best. This prize box includes the following products:

Nios Shield Leave-in conditioner 4oz
180PRO Total Tamer 7oz
180PRO Frizz Resister 5oz
Infusium23 Moisture Replenisher 4oz
Coolway Beachy salt spray 0.5oz

Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Performance!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. Admission fee's have been provided free of charge by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

I've been to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey show once when I was younger, I don't remember everything from the show but I remember it was pretty exciting to see and be a part of. The circus is currently in town and I was able to take my children to see the show. The big difference that I noted and liked right away is the fact that the show wasn't taking place inside of an out-door tent with the old wooden benches, it does give you the nostalgia of how the circus used to be but being in-doors in comfortable seating and in a air conditioned building was very nice since temps are currently in the triple digits in Phoenix.

Many people may not be aware but Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey will no longer be using elephants in their acts, they have retired all of their elephants due to various reasons, but you will still see tigers, camels, horses and dogs in the show. I don't remember everything about the circus from when I went when I was six but I don't remember there being a real rhyme or reason to how the acts came on they just had a set line up they put on, but at the show we watched there was a story to it and the acts were intertwined into the story. The story was about two clowns who go on an adventure to different places such as the jungle, desert and on a boat so the acts were dressed to match where they were such as Egyptian clothing for when they were in the desert and mermaids when they were on the boat. The show was entertaining and had light effects with fire works to make the show a little more exciting for the kids. The show was two hours long with a short intermission in the middle which gives everyone the chance to use the bathroom and it give the performers a break.

There was a mixture of various strong men, acrobatics and cute animal acts during the show along with several singing and skit acts thrown in. I have a seven year old and a three year old who both did pretty good at the show with sitting still and watching the show, my three year old was a little fussy towards the end but did a good job. Seating was $20-$60 depending on where you want to sit, and be prepared to bring extra money if you want snacks, drinks or souvenirs which range in prices. Drinks were $7.75 for a large coke, Popcorn was $8 for a small bag or $12 for a small bag with a small reusable bag for the kids, coloring books were $5, toys were $12-$30, programs were $20, etc. food and items definitely were not cheap so if you don't want to spend big bucks I would plan on eating before the show. Over all it was a great show and we really enjoyed ourselves, there were dozens of people and everyone seemed to be in very good moods before, during and after the show which is always nice to see.

Summer Makeup Goods Giveaway!

Summer can be a bit of a drag with how hot it gets out, when it is reaching 102-112 degrees here in Arizona it makes it to where I don't want to go out at all but thankfully there are lots of in-door activities and attractions you can go to in order to beat the heat and still have a great summer. The heat can also lead to dried skin, sun burns and more so it is a good idea to wear sunblock or foundation that has UV protection to it, in order to help keep your skin looking it's best this summer I am giving away a $50 Sephora gift card so you can go buy some new makeup or skin care products, plus I am throwing in some makeup goods.

This giveaway package includes a $50 Sephora GC, A Anna SUI eyeliner in purple, a Dolce & Gabbana eyeliner pencil in Coffee and a Mica Beauty gel eye liner in black with a Seta eyeliner brush.

This is open to US Residents ages 18+, please remember if you DO NOT leave a comment on this blog post as your mandatory entry into the giveaway then all of your entries will be void. Doing the Daily entries will increase your chance of winning.

Take a unique trip to Bearizona!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others.Admission fee's have been provided by Bearizona for the review free of charge.****

Every year thousands of people visit the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but they don't know about some of the other wonderful attractions located in the areas surrounding the Grand Canyon. One of those wonderful places to visit is called Bearizona that offers you a up close encounter with a number of animals including Big horned sheep,  Buffalo, Bears and more! Bearizona is located in Williams,AZ which is 30 minutes west of Flagstaff and an hour south of the Grand Canyon.

Bearizona is split up into two sections there is a drive-thru section and a walk-thru section that each offer a unique and fun experience. The first section of the park we visited was the walk-thru part, after a almost two and a half hour drive from Phoenix the kids needed to use the bathroom so we thought it would be easiest to do the drive-thru second. The bathrooms were clean and well kept, they were even better than some bathrooms I've seen in restaurants. I wasn't sure if you had to do the drive-thru part first or not so I asked a staff member and they were kind, friendly and very helpful. All of the staff members we seen feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, etc. all seemed happy, friendly and really seemed to care about the animals and the park. In the walk-thru section there is a Beaver (Named Justin Beaver), Porcupines, Otters, Bobcats, Baby and Teenaged bears, Foxes, and more! During various times through-out the day they offers a number of shows including their Birds of prey show, otter feedings and more.

The animals all had appropriate sized enclosures for the size of the animals, the baby bear shown above was the only bear in the enclosure at the moment so he/she had plenty of space to run around. The adolescent bears had a large enclosure with a small cave area to sleep in, a large metal tub for bathing/keeping cool and plenty of places to roam I wasn't able to count them all but there were at least five to six bears in the enclosure. They had an interactive spot where you could walk into a cave like structure to go in and see where the bears sleep, there is just a thick see through wall dividing you from the bears. They also have a mine shaft with various small animals to see it was pretty fun for the whole family to experience.

Next we moved onto the drive-thru portion, before you enter the park they give you a small list of rules to follow while in the drive-thru portion which include rolling your windows up while you are in the bears and wolves sections otherwise you are free to have your windows down, and drive 15mph. Please remember not to exit your cars, provoke the animals, and don't try to feed them anything these rules are put in place to keep not only you safe but the animals as well. Each section of the drive thru is divided by cattle guards and fences which keep the animals separated from each other. We really liked that the park had various feeding stations and drinking sections for the animals near where the cars drive so that everyone is able to see them, most of the animals were right up next to where everyone drives and many even cross the dirt road to reach the other side which is a chance for great photos and to see the animals up close.

The drive-thru section is three miles long and was amazing in my opinion, while you are in the bear section your car is pretty much surrounded by bears we lost count of how many bears they had. We seen bears playing together, bears scratching their butts on tree, bears sleeping and bears just doing bear things there was even one a few cars ahead of us who came up to their car to say hello. The park is monitored by video camera, park staff also keep an eye on things by driving thru in their jeeps and tour buses take people on the trip as well if you do not want to take your own vehicle in.They offer all of this plus more, I don't want to spoil it all for you so you will have to go visit to see what else they have in store for you. Entrance to the park is Adult: $20.00 + tax Children (Ages 4-12): $10.00 + tax Seniors (62 & Older): $18.00 + tax and you are allowed to drive-thru or walk around as much as you would like. Bearizona is privately owned and receives no tax dollars towards the care of their animals all funds are from the sales of ticket prices, as you can imagine with as many bears as they have on the property their food bill must be pretty hefty. My family had a blast and I know you will as well when you stop by to visit.
